Hey there H&M

Oh H&M how you excite me with your Fall 2010 campaign. Not only do the clothes look tantalizingly fresh for fall they are also in my price range. Double bonus. And to top it all off Daria Werbowy, the Canadian supermodel extraordinaire, happens to be the face of this Fall campaign.

Speaking of Fall, personally I cannot wait for the stores to fill with winter jackets, colourful sweaters, and the most drool worth boots, (I'm a sucker for shoes, as some of you may know). Fall is definitely my favorite season just for the all of the gorgeous clothes, and maybe because it has always meant a back to school clothing spree. I am currently counting my pennies as I don't want to run out of money before this year of school at Blanche Macdonald is over, but I am making a few exceptions for some rain boots and a nice rain proof winter jacket. Notice the theme here: rain proof. I am ready and waiting for the rainy season in Vancouver, because I've heard its even worse then Victoria urgghhh..

Well Vancouver, bring on the rain! I'm ready for you! And to you Blanche Macdonald, starting Monday bring on the homework! I think I'm ready for you!

VANCOUVER! VANCOUVER! VANCOUVER!

I'm baaaaack! Yes, I haven't done a single blog write-up in a prolonged time but I thought it would be suitable to leave one until I moved to the fashion capital of the Canadian west coast. After countless days of well, counting down, I have officially moved to Vancouver! Yay! And after the long days of trips to Ikea, Walmart and the handy little store down the street I am now moved in! Despite the fact that my room is still not up to par, and I JUST got the use of my internet I am quite content in my little basement suite off of Main Street. Speaking of Main Street, I happened to venture down it today and extensively enjoyed what I found. Boutiques upon boutiques of trendy clothes at affordable prices, which was a surprise to me as Victoria's boutiques are far from cheap. I fell in love with my new neighborhood so much that I had to write about it here, and let all of you know about this amazing shopping destination. First Hilary, Jaimie and I hit up The Lip Lounge which had some very different but refreshing clothes, such as a long sweater with a bejeweled rabbit printed on it. I know, sounds a bit different but it really was very cool. I found out that the owner actual owns another boutique directly across the street called Motherland, I have yet to hit it up but I'm sure it is just as chic. Then we walked on down to Front & Company which was easily one of the best second hand stores I have ever been to. Clearly they hand pick their selection of clothes they bring in because I have never seen so many amazing labels in a consignment store before. I happily picked up an extremely comfy Wilfred shirt, that was easily a quarter of its original price. And yes, I will be applying there tomorrow. As our day continued and our stomachs started grumbling we found a quaint little diner where we stopped for lunch and to our surprise we had out own little juke box at our table. We ate our french fries to the tunes of The Beach Boys and The Archie's and I felt like I was in at The Frosty Palace in Grease. It was pretty cool! Although we only made it down the left hand side of the street today but I will be sure to venture onto the right side soon! Until then, I will enjoy my comfy new bed fully tonight as it has been a long day of walking. It might take a while to get used to walking to everywhere again *sigh* the joys of student living...

Me in my new, somewhat set up, bedroom!
